Inspiration: Spain

The rustle of tulle on a passionate flamenco dancer’s layered dress … the perfume of blooming orange trees that line Seville’s streets … the sizzle of paella, a savory rice dish laced with saffron or “red gold”.

Spain is a culmination of many cultures from the Moors to the Romans which are represented through its provinces. Contrasts are found throughout the Iberian Peninsula, from its neoclassical cathedrals to its modern marvels, such as the works of Gaudí. Its gastronomy ranges from bars offering pintxos (small dishes) to Michelin-starred establishments demonstrating innovative cuisine.

The Basque country in the north features the white fine-sand beaches of San Sebastián, the cutting-edge architecture of Gehry’s Guggenheim Museum, and the art culture of the bustling city of Bilbao. The region of Andalusia is home to Seville, Ronda, and the quintessential city of Cádiz. For wine enthusiasts, La Rioja is a mountainous area known for its sprawling vineyards that produce world-renowned sparkling Cava.

Positioned on the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona’s cityscape is peppered with UNESCO sites, including Gaudí’s imaginative landmarks such as Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila. Famed boulevards that make up the city's geometric grid juxtapose the maze of streets found in the bustling Gothic Quarter—the heartbeat of the city.
