Just Back: Cape Winelands

South Africa’s Cape Winelands is my happy place. It has a perfect balance of picturesque scenery, world-class gastronomy, and the best wine tourism infrastructure in the world.

You may have heard of Stellenbosch or Franschhoek, which are simply stunning, but there is so much more to this region including the Swartland, the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, and Elgin, to name a few. Regardless of your palette or knowledge of wine, you can appreciate the complex viticulture and terroir and how it relates to the environmental conditions that make this region so unique through private barrel sampling and vertical tastings.

Connections are imperative to making the most of your time in any wine region. In true small-world fashion, Caitlin and I recently bumped into our friend and rockstar cult winemaker, Callie Louw of Porseleinberg, as he sat in Riebeek-Kasteel sipping his unbottled recent vintage. Whether it is here or in other wine counties around the world, our insider knowledge will breathe life into your experience.

My wish is for our clients to appreciate the many layers of the Cape Winelands as much as I do. Allow us to introduce you to our connections and provide access to the production of some of the finest wines on earth.
